FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL: FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL THANK US

FSC History

The Forest Stewardship Council was established in 1993 in Toronto, to stop deforestation, where a group of businesses, environmentalists and community leaders came together to create the organisation.

Today, FSC operates in more than 80 countries. Members vote on the policy, standards and governance of FSC.

Today, more than 380 million acres of forest are certified under FSC’s system.

FSC-certified Wood

Here at Nine Zero we are proud to be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The FSC certification ensures that our timber products come from responsibly managed forests that provide sustainable environmental, social and economic benefits.

Sustainability is at the forefront of our manufacturing process, sourcing FSC rated materials right across the board, as well as recycling all timber waste on the surrounding farms and providing a source of renewable energy to the local dwellings.

Green Building

The FSC-certification signifies that our products originate from a forest that has been managed carefully with trees, animals, and local community benefit at heart.

Because FSC is the gold standard in forest certification, it is the only system supported by groups such as WWF, Sierra Club, Greenpeace, Natural Resources Defense Council and National Wildlife Federation.

FSC helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife who call them home which is why when you choose our products you can be confident knowing buying it does not harm the forests.
