Exterior Doors

Nine Zero French Doors

We design and supply bespoke exterior doors that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering. Working with architects, developers, and installers across London, Surrey, Winchester, Bristol, and the wider South West, our designs can be tailored to both conservation projects and contemporary builds.

Each is made to order and tailored to suit its setting, whether thatโ€™s a wooden front door designed to complement a Georgian townhouse or a contemporary door specified for a high-end new build. Secure, durable, and attractive, our exterior doors are supplied with fast turnarounds and competitive upfront quotes.

Our expertise in front and back doors

We design and manufacture exterior doors for both front and back entrances, offering flexibility in form and finish as needed.

Front doors

Nine Zero Front Door

Our range of front doors includes both period-inspired and contemporary designs, available in panelled, glazed, or flush configurations. Each is made to order, combining architectural authenticity with modern durability and Secured By Design-approved locking systems.

Back doors

Nine Zero Patio Door Bifolding Door

Our back doors are built to connect indoor and outdoor living spaces with style and practicality. Whether itโ€™s a set of sliding or bifold patio doors for a modern townhouse garden or French doors for a traditional countryside home, they can be tailored to include features such as glazed panels and Heritage detailing, providing a consistent aesthetic across the property.

Materials and craftsmanship

Every wooden door design begins with exceptional materials. We use only FSC-certified timbers, including Redwood, Red Grandis, Abodo, and Accoyaยฎ. Each is selected for its balance of beauty, performance, and sustainability.

  • Redwood: This wood is considered stable and reliable, making it ideal for fine joinery and painted finishes.

  • Red Grandis: A plantation-grown hardwood, cultivated for a consistent grain and strength.

  • Abodo: A thermally-modified softwood with a low-carbon impact but long-term durability.

  • Accoyaยฎ: An advanced modified timber that provides outstanding resistance to moisture and rot.

Our glazing options for exterior doors

We offer a variety of styles for glazed doors. All glazing is internally beaded and available with laminated safety glass where required, so everything from frosted panels on traditional Georgian layouts to minimalistic, double-glazed contemporary designs gets the same level of attention.

Our glazing options allow each design to be fully integrated into your architectural vision, achieving a balance between light, privacy, and insulation.

Colour and finish options

We offer a full selection of high-performance paint options designed for outdoor use.

Among our most requested finishes are black exterior doors. These are a timeless, versatile choice that complements both heritage and modern properties. For more contemporary settings, we also offer natural wood tones, soft neutrals, and bold architectural colours.

Sustainability and guarantees

All our exterior wood doors are made using FSC-certified timber, and all offcuts are recycled to minimise waste. We also plant five trees for every order, helping our clients contribute to environmental targets and green building standards.

We offer up to 30 yearsโ€™ structural guarantee on timber, and 10 years on glazing, paint finishes, and workmanship across all our exterior doors.

Performance, security, and compliance

All of our wooden exterior doors are engineered to deliver superior performance without compromising on aesthetics. Each is Secured By Design-certified, meaning they are precision-made to meet PAS 24:2016, BS 6375, and Document Q and L1B compliance, ensuring excellent security for you or your clients.

FAQs

Do you provide technical drawings and specifications?

Yes. We provide full CAD resources, detailed specifications, and technical support to architects, developers, and installers throughout every stage of a project. This ensures each exterior door integrates seamlessly into your design and meets all performance requirements.

Are your exterior doors suitable for coastal or exposed locations?

They are. We regularly manufacture exterior wood doors for properties in exposed environments, including coastal areas. By using durable timbers like Accoyaยฎ, we ensure long-term resistance to problems such as moisture and temperature fluctuations.

Do you offer bespoke sizes and configurations?

Yes. Every Nine Zero exterior door is made to order. We can tailor dimensions, panel layouts, glazing proportions, and opening styles to meet specific architectural or structural requirements. Whether for a single wooden front door or a set of back doors, weโ€™ll provide a perfect fit every time.

What maintenance do timber exterior doors require?

Minimal maintenance is required. We recommend light cleaning and periodic inspection to maintain the finish.

Can I match my exterior doors to my windows?

Yes. Our designs allow full aesthetic consistency between timber windows and doors, ensuring the entire property benefits from a cohesive architectural look. This is especially valuable for listed or conservation properties, where visual harmony is essential.
