- Project Type:ย House refurbishment
Nine Zero was approached to work on a very special refurbishment project by architects flow design & manage, creating a set of bespoke doors and windows for the refurbishment of a beautiful Victorian property in Brockley, London. Our team needed to deliver products that preserved the homeโs period character while upgrading performance and security to modern standards.
Designing and manufacturing sash windows, casement windows, front and patio doors, our team replicated the traditional detailing with complete precision, ensuring each element sat seamlessly within the existing architecture, while filling the house with light.
Our work with developers
Our team offers full support to developers across projects, large and small. With in-house design and bespoke manufacture, we were able to meet the specific client needs for this project, delivering a high-end custom solution on time and within budget.
Scope of work
The project encompassed a full suite of bespoke timber windows and doors, including:
- Timber sash windows
- Timber casement windows
- A timber front door
- Timber French doors
Each element was carefully crafted to respect the propertyโs Victorian proportions and detailing, while integrating modern performance standards. We collaborated with flow design and manage throughout to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction.
Working from our Cornwall headquarters, we manufactured each element to precise, millimetre-accurate measurements from sustainably sourced timber. We also used custom ironmongery and period-appropriate beading to complete the overall aesthetic. Several of the windows incorporated stained-glass panels alongside complex bar arrangements, which our team accomplished in-house.
When it came to client requirements around security and thermal performance, our windows and doors were able to meet all expectations thanks to our high-performance double glazing, multi-point locking systems, and durable timber frames.

What the client said

Challenges and achievements
This project required a huge level of customisation to meet architectural designs, from the layout of the windows to the glazing elements to the detailing on the French doors. Every element needed to fit the existing property, with sash windows crafted to perfectly fit the existing box frames, and colours and detailing tailored around the house and its surroundings. This required a lot of complex CAD work from our team to ensure we could deliver everything the client required.
We completed everything needed on time and on budget, creating a stunning look for the house while keeping it warm and secure.
